Aiden and the Children’s Outpatient Center

One final stop on Aiden’s Champion tour led him to one of our most important capital campaigns in years: the construction site of the new Children’s Outpatient Center.

While Children’s Hospital at Erlanger has the best doctors, nurses, and staff that one could wish for, our facilities are lacking–to say the least. Our hospital team decided it was time to launch the Believe campaign, a campaign that will transform our hospital’s campus over the next few years to include a new outpatient building, inpatient tower including a new NICU and labor and delivery center, and more. The first phase, the Children’s Outpatient Center, is on track to be ready in December of 2018! The walls are up and our construction crew is working hard to put every brick and window in the right place to create a brand new, world-class facility for our kids here in Chattanooga and the surrounding regions.

Aiden was like a kid in a candy store! He had an endless supply of questions for the crew member showing us around and wanted to look at and touch everything in sight. He even had a chance to go up to the roof and see the spectacular view of Chattanooga from behind the pointed roof line.
